Dell 5130cdn Color Laser Printer Review

John Rivers
I have struggled for years to find a really good office printer that is high quality. Recently, I came across Dell 5130cdn Color Laser Printer which is truly amazing. This is clearly a serious product with a serious price; more than 1500 dollars, but it is worth every penny. The Dell 5130cdn Color Laser Printer is definitely suited for office use and because of its cheap cost per page, you will definitely save a decent amount of money in the long run.

Dell 5130cdn has super high printing speed. It averages about 25 ppm (pages per minute) which is very high. High quality photo and colored images printing is 3-8 ppm. Black text quality is very nice, solid black and smooth. Colored pictures and photos turn out nice too, with natural tint and grain.

Dell 5130cdn's design, at first, may look clunky and scary (it is quite a large machine) but the quality and performance it offers is surely a reason why it is so good. It has 256 megabytes of DDR2 memory which can be increased up to 1,2GB. Main sheet tray holds 550 paper sheets and its multipurpose tray is able to handle 150. You can off course increase the capacity of paper sheets for additional price ($249 gets you 550-sheet tray and $599 - 1100). Font panel can be conveniently folded down in order to access main toner cartages, drums and to clear jammed paper.

The control panel consists of spot-on LCD screen and navigation buttons which are comfortable. The printer can be accessed via web browser to its internal HTML control station. It is quite convenient to configure the printer trough your favorite web browser.

Dell 5130cdn printer comes with standard-size cartridges: a 9000 page black (for $107 to replace), 6000 page cyan, magenta, and yellow (replacing: 195 dollars). I mentioned earlier that Dell 5130cdn laser printer has a very low cost per page (more than 1 cent per black page and 3-10 cent per color page).

All in all, Dell 5130cdn Color Laser Printer is very good for your business workplace because of its low cost per page. Its price seems a bit high but you will definitely feel the benefits in the long run.
