Dell Inspiron 10.1-Inch Netbook Review, Model: Mini 10v
I Review This Ultra-portable Dell Inspiron Netbook for Potential Buyers
Product Ratings:
Processor: 4/5 Stars
Hard Drive: 3.5/5 Stars
Portability: 4.5/5 Stars
Overall Rating: 4/5 Stars
Processor and Hard Drive:
The processor within this Dell Inspiron Netbook is the Intel Atom Processor. This unique processing chip has been specifically designed for netbooks as they are much smaller than laptops, thus require a different types of formatting. This processor will allow you the flexibility to perform all of the tasks that you would expect from your home computer, except within a much smaller frame. I was impressed with the functionality and performance of this processor.
The heard drive within this Dell Inspiron Netbook has a storage capacity of 160GB. While this is much smaller than most laptops, it is still above the industry average of 80GBs. You will be able to enjoy above-average storage capabilities within this hard drive. The only downside I found is that the read/write speed of this drive measures only 5400RPM, which is not terribly slow, but it can alter the performance when retrieving ultra-large movie files.
Noteworthy Features:
The screen for this Dell Inspiron Netbook measures 10.1-inches and features widescreen capabilities. For a netbook, this is an average screen size, however, the clarity and image details that this display will produce are above-average. You will be able to enjoy a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, which is much better than most LCD HDTVs. If you enjoy playing video games, watching movies or editing photographs, then you will really love the quality of this screen. One of my personal favorite features is the 1.3 megapixel web cam that has been built-into the monitor directly above the screen.
As for graphics, this Dell Inspiron Mini 10v Netbook will provide decent support for video games and movies. With the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, you will be able to view images that are crisp in detail. The graphics card works perfectly with the screen resolution to produce high-definition images.
You will be able to instantly connect to the Internet through the 802.11g wireless interface. This will allow you the ability to perform your work anywhere there is an internet connection.
