Demi Moore Calls Kim Kardashian Out on Twitter Post Over "Pimpin"

Karen Gros
Demi Moore started a war over words with Kim Kardashian after seeing a picture and a caption on Kardashian's Twitter page on Sunday, March 28, 2010. The photo in question had the following caption, "Big pimpin w (with) @SerenajWilliams@LaLaVazquez@Kelly_Rowland, Love u girls!"

Moore, who is an advocate against child slavery, was very disturbed by the photograph caption and confronted Kardashian about the post.

Moore asked for clarification as to how Kardashian was using the word "pimpin," asking if she meant "pimping". Kardashian replied that yes, she was referring to "pimping". That led to a war of words between the two.

I respect Demi Moore for calling Kardashian out on this use of the work "pimpin" as slang or in any other way. It's tacky and trashy and should not be used in a jokingly way.

Moore along with her actor husband, Ashton Kutcher, just recently launched a campaign to cut down on the unethical practice of child slavery. The famous couple is especially concerned with how active the practice is in Haiti, where a massive earthquake hit earlier this year in January, leaving thousands of people homeless.

Due to the economy in Haiti, many families send their children off to "work" for other families as a means for supporting the rest of the family, robbing the child of childhood, a regular family life and gaining an education.

Kardashian immediately defended her stance saying it was all in fun and mentioned the song, "Big Pimpin" by Jay-Z , but Kim eventually listened to Moore's reasoning and admitted that Demi had a valid point.

That leads me to my next question, "Will Demi take on Jay-Z next?" I wouldn't put it past her for one minute!

I thought I misunderstood the first time I heard "pimping" used as anything but a reference to the sex industry. It's good to hear it getting criticized.
