Demi Moore Confidently Steps into New Role: Ann Taylor Fall 2011

This fall brings exciting new changes for the Demi Moore/Ashton Kutcher family. While Kutcher moves into his much disputed role on the TV sitcom, Two and a Half Men, his wife, Demi Moore is moving into her new role as the face of Anne Taylor's fall campaign.

Moore will be following the footsteps of recent models for the line, Naomi Watts and Katie Holmes, while Kucher has the difficult task of filling the void Charlie Sheen will leave.

"We have to remember it's OK to take risks." Moore says, "Sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't." Although the 48 year-old Demi was speaking of fashion risks, the lesson stands for life as well.

In her interview to kick off the fall campaign, she revealed how she watched the Ann Taylor brand change along the years. She said, "I've seen as we've changed, that they have changed, reflecting how we live as modern women, which is wearing things that take us from day to night. From workout to work to weekend."

Moore looks stunning in the photos for the new collection. In the main ad she is shown sporting a lace-trimmed top and trousers with a cape-style trench. Classic, yet up the minute, like Demi Moore's beauty.

As for Moore's own fashion sense, she said that the rules when it comes to dressing her age are no longer what they were. There was a time when women over 40 shouldn't wear certain things, but now, with women living longer on average it really depends on the person.

"Some of the kind of unspoken rules of what we're allowed to do at this age, and what you can get away with, really comes down to what's in your comfort zone, what makes you feel good about you,' she explained.

The refreshing balance between classic and trendy in the new Ann Taylor collection, gives women a freedom to pick and choose items that look great now and will still look great five years from now.

Not surprisingly, Demi Moore takes her fashion cues from famous women of the past.
"I look at Katharine Hepburn, from the Thirties and Forties and the women of the Seventies, Bianca Jagger," she said

Of the Ann Taylor line, Moore adds, "It is the quintessential American brand for modern working women, and is a company of women, for women. They really understand what women need today to be confident and successful."

I think we can all take Demi's word for it. If anyone is confident and successful, it is Demi Moore.
