Demi Moore Missing Part of Her Hip in Botched Up W Magazine Cover Photoshop Controversy?

Victoria Leigh Miller
Has actress Demi Moore become the victim of foul play- or at least the victim of a really bad photoshop job? 47 year old Demi Moore was recently photographed looking gorgeous for a December W magazine cover shoot. But when the issue went to press, it appeared that the actress was missing a small section of her left hip. The botched up photoshop controversy has Demi Moore's W Magazine cover all over the news.

The possible photoshop airbrushing error is noticeable when you look at Demi Moore's W Magazine cover. If the photo was photoshopped, the magazine's art department should have caught the error before the issue was released.

Instead, Anthony Citrano, a Los Angeles fashion photographer, noticed the error as soon as he saw the W magazine cover. Citrano posted his observations online , calling the gaffe "bad art" and saying "such mistakes clearly interfere with the photographer's goal". (Click here to see an enlarged version of the Demi Moore W magazine cover).

The big question is: if the picture was indeed photoshopped, why did W Magazine feel the need to trim down Moore's hip anyway? Demi Moore is one of the most fit and healthy actresses around and her body is in great shape. The accompanying W magazine article, called "Demi Goddess" portrays a picture of a fit and trim actress, with "chopstick legs".

This is not the first time Demi Moore has been involved in a magazine cover controversy. Fans may recall her very controversial 1991 magazine cover shoot, where Moore graced the cover of Vanity Fair magazine completely naked and pregnant. Some people were offended by Demi Moore's Vanity Fair cover. The pregnant Demi Moore Vanity Fair cover is one of the most controversial - and memorable- magazine covers ever.

Fans who have followed Demi Moore's career may remember when she had rounder curves and features. When she first came on the scene, back in 1982 during her General Hospital days, Moore was still very young. She made it big as a member of the mid-1980's Brat Pack, with movies like St. Elmo'sFire and About Last Night, eventually sealing her fate as an A-list actress when she starred in Ghost with Patrick Swayze.

Over the years fans have watched her shape trim down and tone, while many have speculated that Moore has gone under the knife. But whatever Demi More did to get in shape, it didn't warrant even more inches being cut off by a bad photoshop job.

UPDATE: Associated Content was contacted by Ms. Moore's attorney. He provided AC with letters from W Magazine's Creative Director Dennis Freedman and "Mert and marcus." The letters are attached to this article as images.

If you see the current issue with cover of Jennifer garner...in the magazine, one of her pictures looks weird, too. On the page 88, the one she wears Chanel¡¦s black and cream cotton tweed jacket and skirt...her waist looks incredibly thin!!

Why was airbrushing even used? She is gorgeous.
