Demi Moore’s 5 Best Film Roles

Maggie Lumpcik
Demi Moore decided to drop out of the upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic to seek treatment for exhaustion and to improve her overall health. The ageless beauty, who just ended her marriage to "Two and a Half Men" star Ashton Kutcher, was also recently rushed to the hospital after collapsing. On the 911 call, which has had some portions removed to protect the actress's privacy, a friend said that Demi had "smoked something."

Moore has been in Hollywood for a long time, and has proven her talent time and time again. The actress may be going through a rough patch in life, but we think she is going to come back stronger than ever. While she is overcoming her current issues, here is a look back on Demi's 5 best roles:

5. The then 40-year-old stunned audiences with her perfect bikini-clad body as a former angel in "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle." She looked so good, she overshadowed her three younger and beautiful co-stars: Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore. Her part may have been small, but she made the biggest impression in the entire film.

4. Gaining popularity in the 80s, Moore starred in the cult-classic "St. Elmo's Fire." In it, she plays the attention-seeking, drug-abusing Jules. The film helped propel Demi's career as a part of the "brat pack" and cemented her a spot in Hollywood.

3. Known for her beauty, Demi took a huge risk in "G.I. Jane." She not only cut her trademark brunette locks, she shaved her head! In the film, Moore becomes a test case for women in combat and attempts to become a Navy SEAL.

2. In "A Few Good Men," Moore plays a tough Naval investigator and lawyer working on a murder trial. She motivates the lawyer she is working with, Tom Cruise, to take the men to court instead of negotiating a plea deal for a hazing ritual gone wrong. The movie was a hit and nominated for many awards.

1. Demi's top role was her pairing with Patrick Swayze in the supernatural "Ghost." Swayze's character is murdered early in the film and remains on earth in a spiritual form to protect his wife. Who can forget the most memorable scene, involving a pottery wheel and song "Unchained Melody," in the film? Moore earned a Saturn award for Best Actress and received a Golden Globe nomination for her role.
