Democrats' Hypocrisy on Display in Wisconsin Teachers Union Flap

Democrats Quote Voting Results......Until Republicans Win

Nobody At All
The actions of Democrat state senators in Wisconsin are both pathetic and hypocritical. In order to stop newly elected Republican governor Scott Walker and the Republican majority in the legislature from acting on a union reform bill, senate Democrats have fled the state. As always seems to be the case, Democrats only believe that elections matter if they win.

When Democrats held both the House and Senate, as well as the presidency, it was nothing but "shut up and take it." President Obama said "I won" and "elections have consequences" any time Republicans objected to having his policies rammed down their throats without any consideration for the minority. Obama said Republicans were welcome to participate, but they had "to sit in the back."

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid made repeated references to being in charge because "the American people have spoken." Republicans were regularly told, to paraphrase, "we're the majority, so we rule and you live with it." Republican lawmakers were literally locked out of meetings and then told to simply vote on legislation resulting from those meetings without argument.

Nobody seemed to think that was unfair.

Now that Republicans have taken the House, reduced the Democrat majority in the Senate to a small margin, and taken the governorships and legislatures of the majority of states, suddenly elections don't matter as much. The current situation in Wisconsin is the most obvious example.

One Wisconsin senator said after referencing Egypt that with the world moving towards democracy, Scott Walker's bill spelled "the end of the democratic process." He then left the state with all the other Democrat senators, thus preventing the Wisconsin senate from voting on the bill. Not one reporter asked him how he could spout such hypocritical nonsense and keep a straight face.

The end of the democratic process starts when people refuse to show up, thus preventing a vote. Or in Democrat speak, the end of the democratic process begins as soon as Republicans win a majority.

To sum up, if you're a Democrat the world works thusly. If we win, you shut up because we're the majority and the people have spoken. If we, um, win less then you shut up because we don't like what you're doing and even though the people have spoken we don't care. We're supposed to be in charge no matter how the elections come out, and if you don't give us what we want we'll just leave and not let you vote at all, so there!

It goes similarly with protesting. If the Tea Party does it, it's a bunch of malcontent, violent, racist rednecks just spouting off because they're too stupid to know better. If Organizing for America and the Democratic National Committee bus in thousands of people to do it, it's people having their voices heard.

Once again: Every American has a right to protest...unless they're protesting us. Dissent is patriotic...as long as it's dissent against a Republican.

Oh and don't mind the "Scott Walker=Hitler and Mubarak" signs either. Using Hitler is always okay if it's a Republican, right Keith Olbermann?

Republicans need to put together as nice romantic mix tape of all the times Democrats reminded them of the consequences of elections and play it over the public address system of the Wisconsin Capitol Building. Then tell the Democrats to knock off the hypocritical whining, grow up, and do the job they're getting paid for.

And no matter what happens, do not give in to this thuggery.
