At just the tender age of 19, Country singer and 4D Records label-mate Denae Gardner is fascinating listeners with the influential Blues/Country musical sounds portrayed on her self-titled debut album Denae Gardner. Musically arranged by legendary producer David Z (known for previous work with Eric Clapton and Prince), the 5-track E.P. showcases Gardner's powerful vocals while demonstrating massive appeal through the lyrics and musical sounds. Released in 2011, Gardner 's debut album includes several recommended tracks including the up-beat Country/Rock tune "Run Around", the Blues/Country-inspired song "Welcome To America", and the Waylon Jennings-influenced track "Don't Believe My Heart".

On the Country tunes "Run Around" and the Tanya Tucker cover tune "Don't Believe My Heart" Denae Gardner sings of frustration and exhaustion while dealing with her insignificant other's

uncommitted relationship. Released on February 28th as the first official single from the debut E.P., the track "Run Around" displays thoughts of feeling anger towards being used in relationships. Gardner portrays these feelings while singing the lyrics, "...I can give my love to only you/Baby you can make your heart be true/Just don't try to take me on/Just another run around.../".Recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at Ben Folds Studio, producer David Z is able to incorporate Gardner's mature and powerful vocals into the emotional feel behind the lyrics. On the 1970's Tanya Tucker cover tune, "Don't Believe My Heart", Gardner transforms this old Country tune into her own unique musical styles as she incorporates a more Blues/Rock feel to the vocals. Through the lyrics, "...Don't believe my heart can stand another you/I need someone who'll be gentle, kind, and true/So go your way, I've had enough/the game you play is just too rough.../" Gardner details a shift in feelings as the "character" has thoughts of moving on from the wrecked relationship.

Though her music displays many songs of heartbreak, Gardner also sings of harsh realities and brutal honesty behind the political notations within the lyrics. Along with songwriters Gene Vail and Darrell Morris, Gardner displays her own captivating writing techniques on the track "Welcome To America". In the song, Gardner sings of the downfalls in America while dealing with political warfare, funding issues, and drugs. According to Gardner 's official biography, the singer states, "It is a really cool song, a serious song, commenting on America today, with frank but realistic lyrics. I love my country, and unfortunately we have some problems right now. This song perfectly embodies that." With vocals resembling Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, Gardner sings the honest lyrics, "...welfare checks, easy cash/workin' for a livin', a thing of the past/Low wages, high prices/Every day, another world crisis.../" detail America 's stance in the troubled economy.

Since releasing her self-titled debut E.P., Denae Gardner has been very busy as she continues heavy touring in promotion of her album release. While performing at various venues including The Knitting Factory and the Boise Music Festival, Gardner continues to amaze listeners with her strong and Country/Blues vocal approach. Since releasing her debut single "Run Around", Gardner has received numerous airplay from 35+ radio stations across the Country. While currently working on an extended 2011 Country-wide tour, Gardner continues to write new songs and preparing new demos for upcoming release.
