Although we groom the dogs we care for on a regular basis, brushing their teeth is sometimes a problem. If a pet is stubborn, aggressive, or time is a concern, brushing their teeth is easily moved to the bottom of the list.
Dental Fresh was suggested to us by an employee in this pet supply store. She said it was the easiest way to assist in keeping the teeth clean for any dog.
The directions for using Dental Fresh are easy. The package states: Use daily for maximum effectiveness. Add one teaspoon of Dental Fresh for every 8 oz. of water in water bowl, or follow your veterinarian's directions. This product is safe for dogs and cats.
The product is also claimed to help remove tartar and plaque, and ensure fresh breath. We have found this to be true.
We appreciate the fact that the label states oral health and hygiene are important for pets, and regular cleaning should not be skipped. This product is not to replace professional or regular cleaning of the pet's teeth, but to be used in addition to cleaning. The label also warns that if a pet has a severe breath odor issue it should be taken to a veterinarian.
