Dental Programs in the European Union

EU Dental Schools

A. D. Rollins
The European Union has 27 member countries, who work together to try to attain regional integration among their citizens and areas. Members of the EU include the United Kingdom, France, Austria, Italy and the Czech Republic. The EU shares certain standards and accept a common currency, the Euro. Though dental education as such actually began in the United States, there are many dental schools in the European Union. The various countries have tried to harmonize their different degrees, and the Association for Dental Education in Europe works for high standards in dental education among all schools in the region.
