Denver Broncos round one 2010 NFL draft picks
I thought Denver really needed defensive players and a wide receiver going into the draft.
With the 22nd selection in the 2010 NFL draft the Denver Broncos picked wide receiver Demaryius Thomas from Georgia Tech. Thomas has great size at 6ft 3 and 224 pounds but he is raw. Georgia Tech runs some funky offense that does not prepare its offensive players for the NFL. I can see them not wanting Dez Bryant after dealing with Marshall, but they could have went defense here.
Tim Tebow the quarterback out of Florida was picked by the Denver Broncos with the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL draft. The Broncos traded with the Baltimore Ravens to get in position to draft Tim Tebow. Josh McDaniels wants to prove he is an offensive genius. I am sure Bronco fans agree that McDaniels is offensive all right. I don't agree with wasting a first round pick on Tim Tebow. This pick will pull down the Denver Broncos grade for the 2010 NFL draft. As you can see here I wondered if Tebow would even play quarterback in the NFL.
Denver Broncos round two 2010 NFL draft pick
Zane Beadles is a 6ft 4 offensive tackle out of Utah. I always agree with taking offensive and defensive linemen but at this point the Broncos could have used a linebacker.
Denver Broncos round three 2010 NFL draft pick
Center J.D. Walton out of Baylor should make the squad and adds some good depth to the offensive line.
Denver Broncos fifth round pick in the 2010 NFL draft
Eric Decker the wide receiver out of Minnesota may get on the field before Williams does. I like this pick and think he adds some value to the 2010 NFL Denver Broncos draft grade. Still looking for defense though.
Denver Broncos sixth round pick in the 2010 NFL draft
Eric Olsen the Notre Dame Center at least was in a pro style offense at Notre Dame. I expect either Olsen or Walton to see some playing time at guard. Hard to fathom drafting two centers in the same draft.
Denver Broncos seventh round picks in the 2010 NFL draft
Syd'quan Thompson a cornerback out of California was the first defensive player taken in the 2010 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos. Thompson is slow and that will hurt his chances of making the roster.
Jammie Kirlew the defensive end out of Indiana was the last pick by the Denver Broncos in the 2010 NFL draft. Kirlew is a shorty at 6ft 1 so will move to linebacker in Denver. He will have to make the squad as a special teamer in my opinion.
2010 NFL Draft Grade for the Denver Broncos
I give the Broncos a D for their 2010 NFL draft. Tebow and Williams were both reach picks and the defense wasn't addressed until the last round.

I couldn't see a rhyme or reason for Denver's picks...but what do I know?

I see Tebow is bringing his flock to the Broncos.
