Denver, CO 80218
United States of America
February 18

April 15
The meetings are at the Capitol Hill Community Center (Annex Building around the eastern back area of the lot) located 1290 William St. Denver CO 80218. (That is right next to Cheeseman Park. One needs to be careful here; it is easy to make a wrong turn and get lost driving around Cheeseman Park.)
The meetings start at 7:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm.
The meetings are kid-friendly.
While one can attend the Reiki Circle for free, donations to help defray the cost of hall rental would be deeply appreciated.
Reiki Master Jo Fontana is the organizer of the Denver Capital Hill Reiki Circle. Her goal for the Reiki Circle is to provide a place for healers to practice healing and to network. Fontana said that "Sometimes even healers need healing."
The Reiki Circle is also a way for those who have not yet experienced Reiki to come ask questions, get to know local practitioners, and perhaps even experience Reiki firsthand.
While only short healing sessions are available at the Denver Capital Hill Reiki Circle, being able to meet with local Reiki Masters is important for those who seek to practice Reiki themselves. Each level of Reiki practice is initiated by a process called an "attainment" which allows the healer to be able to tap into the healing energies of Reiki more easily. As each attunement requires a fee (the cost varies with each Reiki Master setting their own fee structure), potential Reiki practitioners are advised to know several Reiki Masters before getting attuned.
This especially important because each Reiki Master has their own style of doing attunements; some use more elaborate rituals than others. How much instruction a Master gives with each attunement also varies. A person who desires to get attuned is advised to shop around to find the Master that suits their needs as a student.
Generally, there are three attunements required to become a full Reiki Master (Reiki III); some lineages have added new levels to the system.
Reiki I is primarily for physical self-healing. The practitioner can also heal others, but they must be physically present in the same room for Reiki I healing is done directly though the healer's hands.
Reiki II focuses on healing the emotions and the mind. The Reiki II practitioner can also send healing energy across distances to people who are not present.
Reiki III is for those who plan on working as healers, or teaching Reiki to others.
