Denver Fashion Accessories: What You Need in the 'Mile High City'
Tips for What Accessories to Make Sure You Have When Living in Colorado!
Sunglasses - One of the first recommendations I received regarding mandatory fashion accessories while living in Denver was sunglasses. Whether festive and flirty, prescription or $1 at the Dollar Tree store, the bright sunshine here-featured in over 300 days annually, according to the locals-makes sunglasses an immediate accessory required for anyone living in the 'Mile High City.' You can even collect an assortment of sunglasses to better coordinate with each individual wardrobe selection!
Lip balm and Sunscreen - With the high altitude and reduced atmosphere, sunscreen and skin protection-including lip balm with SPF-is crucial. For added fashion fun find a festive tin or container to store your sun-smart accessories in, carrying them with you at all times in your handbag or backpack. With the numerous health food stores local to Denver you can easily find organic, all-natural lip balms and sunscreen alternatives. While you may be questioning whether these are truly fashion accessories I present this argument: sunburns are never a fashion statement!
Hiking Boots and/or Running Shoes - Denver boasts a highly active community, and with the mountains in such close proximity it's no wonder that one required Denver fashion accessory is a good pair of hiking boots. Take the opportunity to showcase your unique style and tastes while combining functionality and practically. Alternatively, the abundant trails and paths reserved for runners and walkers make a comfortable pair of running shoes another required fashion accessory!
Funky Dog Leashes, Collars, Etc. - Denver is an extremely dog-friendly city, with numerous dog parks and an almost constant stream of neighbors strolling down the sidewalk with their canine companions-yes, usually several of varies shapes and sizes-in tow. This makes funky dog items, such as leashes, collars, sweaters and such, a convenient fashion accessory to either showcase your personality or complement your wardrobe depending on the supply of options you care to have. Feel free to take it one step further and color-coordinator your pooper-scooper and your walking shoes!
