The snow started at my home on Wednesday morning, and it piled up fast. Stores closed hours later, and most people came home from work early.
The snow continued falling all through the night, ending Thursday around noon. After that, the neighbors were out. Some in snow suits, others in jeans and jackets, shoveling the several feet of snow to get out of their homes. We had to shovel the snow away from our front doors, make paths to the sidewalks and around our cars.
I don't know about other Denver residents, but my home lost electricity for only 3 hours early Thursday morning. Not bad at all, since I was expecting at the worst a few days of waiting.
Seeing all the snow today I wondered if our guests would make it to our home for Christmas. Not many vehicles made it to our neighborhood today. I didn't even see the mail come, but the snow plow did. As the hours passed, vehicles started to move. Looks like most will able to make it to work tomorrow. (At least in my area of Denver.)
I'm just glad my family made it safely home yesterday, and my neighbors, too. Looks like we might have people over for Christmas after all.

Post a CommentI loved the picture of the cars under all that snow! Jeez. I had just flown out of Denver on the 14th before you got hit with your first bad one that closed the airport. Of course, I flew home to Seattle... where we just had the "storm of the century" which left 1.2 million customers (including us) without power! This weather is nutso anymore.
No it surely is not. I think the weatherman said we've had snow on the ground now for 28 days. I wonder if we will get anymore this weekend. I'm sure we'll find out, won't we! LOL
It's not melting away fast enough, is it!
WOW. That's a lot of snow you all got. Hopefully the whole winter won't be the same way.
Thanks, Christine!
I am glad to hear you are doing okay.
