Depeche Mode

Depeche Mode is an English electronic great band formed in 1980. The group 's original members: Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals, chief songwriter after 1981), Andrew Fletcher (keyboards) and Vince Clarke (keyboards, chief songwriter 1980-81). Vince Clarke left the band after the release of their 1981 debut album. Alan Wilder replaced Vince Clarke (keyboards, drums, production) and Gore took over songwriting. Wilder left the band back in 1995. Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, and Andrew Fletcher have continued as a trio to the present.

Depeche Mode, released their twelfth full-length album "Sounds Of The Universe in Europe on 20 April, 2009, and on 21 April, 2009, " in the US and Canada. "Wrong" was the first single from the album, released digitally on 21 February 2009, and physically on 6 April (7 April in the U.S.).

It's supported by the ongoing 2009-2010 Tour of the Universe. The album contains 13 tracks.
The new tune "Wrong," with fascinating lyric and unique voice came up on the radio.

Depeche Mode influenced many musicians such as Pet Shop Boys, Techno pioneers Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Juan Atkins regularly cited Depeche Mode as an influence on the development of techno music during the Detroit Techno explosion in the mid 1980s, The Killers, The Bravery, Franz Ferdinand, Radiohead front man, Thom Yorke, Chester Bennington, vocalist of Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, A Perfect Circle, and Coldplay.

Dave Gahan successfully underwent surgery to remove a low-grade malignant tumor from his bladder and the band's Tour of the Universe resumed on June 8th.
Gahan was rushed to the hospital before concert in Athens, Greece on May 12th after suffering a severe bout of gastroenteritis.
Depeche Mode recent single was released June 15th in Europe.

Depeche Mode is my favorite band from the 80's, the sound, lyrics and the vocals. DM represents part of my life. The live concerts are to die for. The tickets for their concert at Hollywood Bowl have been sold out quickly.
