Derry Church Artisan Chocolates was founded by Chef Cayton in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Although it was founded in America's chocolate capitol, he named the company Derry Church after the original settlement and farming community from 1724. Derry Church. The company uses 100% organic creams and butters from local Pennsylvania dairy farms. They use top quality international spices and no artificial ingredients or preservatives.
How Do Derry Church Chocolates Taste?
I was able to try a selection of Derry Church's International Chocolates Collection. Each piece represented a different city from across the globe, and each piece was fantastic. The standouts for me were the "Savannah" and the "San Fran." The Savannah was like a little mini peach pie in a tiny chocolate crust. It was creamy and sweet, but not overly sweet or cloying. The San Fran contained an interesting mixture of molasses, figs, and walnuts mixed in with bittersweet chocolate ganache. Also of note was the "Mumbai" which actually contained a little bit of curry mixed in with the chocolate. I really recommend you try the whole collection and find your own favorites because every single piece was delicious and intriguing.

The Verdict on Derry Church
I highly recommend Derry Church Artisan chocolates to anyone looking for gourmet chocolates or anyone looking for new, interesting, and exciting treats. The high quality of the chocolates, and the thought and ingenuity that goes into each piece makes them worth the price, especially for gifts and special occasions.
