Most people mistakenly think that using Feng Shui successfully is about having Chinese ornaments and talismans around them. This is far from the truth and I practice what I call 'ridgi didji' Feng Shui for local conditions. A person's tastes and inclinations need to be incorporated when considering their Feng Shui 'cures'. It is true that the art of FengShui incorporates the principles behind Chinese philosophy and it is based on interpreting and utilizing the flow of Chi as expressed by the subtle energies of the eight central trigrams depicted in the I Ching, otherwise known as 'the well of knowledge'.
In the seventies and eighties used to loved dining in the ashrams who often provided public eating places. These places were so clean and tidy and felt so harmonious; kinda holy. You may notice that places of worship are almost always clean and tidy with judiciously placed icons. Like my mother said, "cleanliness and tidiness are next to godliness" and in FengShui it is also important that the sacred is also well placed in your daily surrounds.
At the moment my home is far from clean, tidy or holy. Every now and then I descend into what I call 'creative chaos'. This is a time where I am completely disinclined to clean or tidy my home and this period of time usually lasts a week or two. I have chosen to call such a time as a 'descent into creative chaos' as the time comes when I will have to put it all back together again. And when I do so I almost always re-organize and put things back together a little differently. A friend who lived with me for a few years used to joke with me that we needed some changes in our lives again so could I please get re-organizing things; by which she meant the way our home and garden was organized.
Feng Shui is magical, wonderful stuff and I often witness changes almost instantaneously after consulting with someone who follows the advice given.
Anyways perhaps I should stop procrastinating now by distracting myself to write this article and get re-organizing my Feng Shui.
P.S. Living in a state of constant disharmony is bad for your life purpose.
Keep posted.
