Some studies have shown that the cause could be genetic but that's still not proven. Scientists are still trying to understand what the cause of this condition is. There is no cure for autism and boys are more likely to get it than girls. It is also better to start treatment as soon as you are aware that your child has autism the sooner the better. Teaching them to learn basic skills will help them out alot. Some people that have autism actually learns how to talk and communicate with others near normal. For parents who's child has been diagnosed with autism you have yo understand that this is a daily condition and at times you may feel overwhelmed with being stress. First starting out it will be depressing and it will be a lot of things from your doctor that you will have to learn that your child will be going through like therapy cause of his condition. In the beginning it can be sad and a daily struggle but you have to be able to keep moving forward and be strong for the benefit of your child.
Your child will need you more being so that he has autism. It will be lots of different therapy that your child will attend like communication therapy, speech therapy this is to help your child gain the ability to speak or to speak better depending on how bad the autism is. Physical therapy is needed as well and Occupational therapy this is to help improve one's independent function like things such as brushing your teeth, taking a bath, even putting on your clothes properly like buttoning or zipping your shirt or pants. There are warning signs in children that have autism disorder:
If your child can't speak by 16-18 months
If your child don't respond or recognize his name being called
Can't combine at least two words by age two
If your child don't point or makes any type gestures by 12 months
If your child have difficulty playing or knowing how to play with toys
If your child becomes attached to one toy only
If your child constantly lines up toys or objects
Don't socialize with other kids
Never really smiles
and at times my seem like he can't hear you
Above are indicators that your child may have autism. If you notice that your child may have 2 or more of these signs your child may or may not have autism. Be sure to take your child to see his physician right away.
