This article will show you step by step how to create floating beach centerpiece for your wedding reception. If you are on a budget for your wedding this will be the perfect centerpiece to design for your reception, because they are easy on the budget. They are also very easy to make, and almost anyone can do this. Follow these steps to design your own floating beach centerpieces.

SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED:

There are a few items you will need to get started on this beautiful beach centerpiece. First, you will need a large round or square glass bowl. The bowl should be clear glass so that you can see what's inside of it. A square bowl looks especially nice for this centerpiece. It should be at least 8 to 10 inches wide. You will need a bowl for each centerpiece that you make. Next, you will need some seashells (make sure they are real seashells), water and floating beach candles. You can sometimes find candles that are in the shape of beach things, like seashells, starfish, fish, sandcastles and more.

DESIGN YOUR FLOATING BEACH CENTERPIECE:

To start designing this beach centerpiece, first you will place a handfull of seashells in the bottom of your glass bowl. The seashells should completely cover the bottom of the bowl and come up an inch or two in the bottom of the bowl. Next, you can fill the bowl with water. The seashells should stay on the bottom, this is why you will need to use real seashells so that they stay on the bottom and do not float. If you are having trouble keeping the seashells down, you could add a little bit of sand to cover them and try to hold them down; however, do not add too much sand, you do not want to cover your seashells up too much. When you are finished with the water, simply place your floating candles on top and you are done. Make sure that you designate someone to light all of the candles in all of the centerpieces right before the reception starts. These are beautiufl and elegant centerpieces for any beach themed wedding or party.
