Designer Hand Craft for Kids to Give Mom for Mother's Day

With Mother's day right around the corner, you may be trying to figure out what your class or kids an make their mom for Mother's day. This is a great craft to have kids start making for mom when they are young and continue to make every year so that mom can see how much their hand is growing each year. Follow these steps to make the designer hand Mother's day craft.

ITEMS NEEDED:

First you will need some white paper that is kind of thick, like card stock. You might also use construction paper if the kids want their hand to be a certain color, they can pick out the color. Next, you will need marker and maybe some buttons or jewels and some glue. You may want to get some glitter for the kids to use as well and any other items that they may use to decorate their hands with.

CREATE A DESIGNER HAND FOR MOTHER'S DAY:

To get the kids started on this crafty gift, have them first trace their hand onto the sheet of white card stock or colored construction paper, which ever they choose to use. Next, have them cut out their hand using scissors, you may have to help them with this part. Once their had is cut out, let them design it any way they want, they could draw pictures on it, add rings, bracelets, glitter, or buttons.

Let them be creative in designing their hand for their mom. Moms will love this personalized designer hand from their child, especially if the child is young and does it year after year to show the growth of their hand. Be sure to write the child's name, age, and the year on the back of the hand so that mom can always keep track of her hands!
