Desk Accessories to Consider for Writers and Bloggers

Stephanie
Can you think of five people that you know, that don't have access to the world wide web? Next question, how many people do you know, including yourself, would like to make money, sitting at your desk? Just about everyone you know right? Its not a big secret that you can make an extra income by writing online. What you may not know, are the desk accessories you might need to do it! Here are ten great things to get if you're a writer or blogger. Even if you're just starting out, or have been writing for years, you'll find all of these items very useful!

First Desk Accessory To Consider: Print Out Some Pictures

Most writers have a nitch. Rather it be gardening, fictional pieces or etc. Whatever you're writing about, print out some pictures to inspire you! If you love flowers, and that is your main focus in writing, then print out some beautiful rose bushes and frame them around your desk. If you love writing blogs about certain products, keep those products near you.

Second Desk Accessory To Consider: Choose A Great Desktop Background

Everyone reaches a deep end. They don't feel like writing no more, and giving up is the best option. Don't let this feeling take over you! If you're writing for your family's income, put your desktop background a picture of your family. It will inspire you every time you sit down to write a blog or article.

Third Desk Accessory To Consider: Squeeze Some Balls!

We all know how stressful work can be. No matter what anyone says, working from home is work! Get yourself a stress ball to release some tension. This will definitely help you pull through some hard times, when you're stuck on what to do.

Forth Desk Accessory To Consider: Pull Out The Dolls

If you love writing reviews for your blog, or you write about fictional characters, putting dolls out might help you get inspired. You can either buy some at any retail store, or "borrow" your child's. They're a great way to help those writers block.

Fifth Desk Accessory To Consider: Get Some Color!

Who wants to really feel like they're "working." When you're at your desk, you need to feel happy! This means you need to have stuffed animals, anything colorful to inspire you! Writing for your child? Then why not have her childhood toy on your desk! Its YOUR workspace. It can be as cluttered as you wish!

Sixth Desk Accessory To Consider: Paper and Pencil

Yes you read right! As computer generated as today is, paper and pencil has loads to offer! For example, when I write for AC, I always jot everything down in my folder. What article it was, when I submitted it, when I got paid, and how much it was for. This way I have my own records! Not only that, but writing down notes for bloggers and writers are essential.

Seventh Desk Accessory To Consider: Throw Away The Mug

We've all done it, put our pens and pencils in a cup. Not no more! Put your items in something that sparks your interest! I, for example, have a Nightmare Before Christmas glass that I keep my pens and pencils in. This movie is my all time favorite, and it really inspires me to write!

Eighth Desk Accessory To Consider: Get A Calender

Everyone knows that when we write, rather it be articles or blogs, there are deadlines to everything! When you're writing all night long, its hard to keep track what day it is, and whats due! This is why you need a calender right beside your desk. My best advice is to get a one sheep calender. Nothing too thick. Just something to accent your desk, and help you along the way!

Ninth Desk Accessory To Consider: Buy A Dictionary

What writer doesn't need a dictionary? Invest in these 75 cent books to really help your writing skills!

Tenth Desk Accessory To Consider: Save Money On A Clock!

Do NOT put a clock on your desk when writing. Its a constant reminder of how much time has pasted, and how much time you have before something is due. Don't stress out no more than you already are, when trying to meet a deadline you forgot all about.
