My soul is hurting, the pain won't subside.
I try not to think of the cries of my soul
I just keep on living, but it's taking its toll.
For years I've helped others in so many ways,
Now I'm left without strength, not even for praise.
I keep going by day, tears shedding by night,
I have no desire to win this fight.
My soul feels tired, my soul feels lost
I need to keep going, but what is the cost?
Despair sinks in, as hope moves out
My soul is hurting, there is no doubt.
Can anyone see how I feel inside?
Am I really invisible? Are my cries denied?
A thought I raise to the Savior of all
Is that how You felt, when You suffered for all?
So thinking of You, I know I must try
The fight to keep fighting, with You always nigh.
One day my soul with You will be
The despair will be gone, for You set me free.
