Nobody Wants Me

Today I am in despair
for my ego there is no repair
I like to sing, write and act
but nobody wants me
and that's a fact

I have never considered myself the best
and never thought I was above the rest
But given a chance I could succeed
I have the will if you have the need

I search all day for places to write
I sing everyday with all my might
I still pretend, so I can act
But nobody wants me
and that's a fact

    Sad and poignant but good. The poem also expresses hope, except for the last line - but alas, sometimes it can feel that way. You are wanted and never give up!

    Don't despair. Even the best, most established writers say that they got enough rejection letters at first to paper an entire wall. It's just part of the process.
