Grenada is a three-island nation that has become a very popular tourist destination. Not for the person looking for especially great nightlife or a hot spot at a casino table, "The Spice Island" is better known for its beautiful landscape and water sports attractions. Grenada features some of the Caribbean's most excellent waters for the attractions of snorkeling, scuba diving, wind surfing, and fishing. In addition, it has not yet been crowded by the normal group of youngsters looking to have a great time, so it makes for a nice family atmosphere.

The country was devastated by Hurricane Ivan in 2004, but the country has rebuilt itself since then. Many of the buildings were left in rubble and the capital of St. George's was in shambles. Now, most everything has been rebuilt and the nation has restored at least a little bit of respectability.

The capital city of Grenada is the country's main attraction. Because of its pure beauty, it should be the most famous thing going in the country. In the capital city, Grenada's culture is on full display every minute of the day. It is a harbor city, serving as Grenada's main port and business center. It is rich with history and the old colonial Georgian buildings are excellent places to see for those who love architecture.

Natural attractions are part of the draw of Grenada. In addition to some of the Caribbean nation's best beaches, the country also features some distinctive and characteristic rain forests. Along the western coast of the country just above St. George's, there are spice plantations and National Park areas that are willing to put the country's beautiful natural resources on display.

The islands of Grenada have some good nightlife to go along with the their wonderful natural attractions. Fantazia 2001 on Morne Rouge Beach is the most popular night clubs and is one of the largest, as well. The club features live shows and state of the art lighting technology. The cover charge is inexpensive and the musical guests are usually fantastic. Like most islands in the Caribbean, this one features many beach bars that sell drinks and serve food for the assuming tourist. While the nation does not have too many large resorts, the ones that they do have offer a great selection of restaurants that are open to the public.

Grenada is a gorgeous series of islands that have a lot to offer. The beaches are a lot of fun and the nightlife is some of the best in the Caribbean. If you want a place with a good mix of nature and attractions, then Grenada is the place for you.
