Destination Guide: Travel to St. Kitts and Nevis

Some of my latest travel articles have featured places that were fun to visit because they were relatively unpopular among other travelers. When considering one of these places, it is smart to consider why people are not traveling to those places. Is it because it is still mostly undiscovered or is there some reason why people would not want to visit there? Well, in the case of St. Kitts and Nevis, the islands are still relatively unknown by most tourists. This is one of those times when their loss can almost certainly turn into sure gains for you as you plan your Caribbean vacation.

Another way to decide where you should go on vacation is to see who goes to these spots to get away from it all. While the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis are still not popular enough to be considered playgrounds for the rich, they do attract enough celebrities to justify their status as a place that rich folks frequent. In recent years, many of America's biggest names have been spotted on the islands. Among them, Britney Spears, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Douglas, and Danny Glover have been known to vacation down there. They come here because the islands, which were originally British possessions up until 1983, offer some of the Caribbean's best beaches that are still unknown by most of the frequent travelers in the United States.

Most of these stars have their own private places on these islands, but you can stay at one of the resorts. On the island of Nevis, one will find nice, four and five star resorts that are more than happy to serve the needs of tourists. These places have taken to the idea of giving all-inclusive packages to guests who want to enjoy some food and drink specials to go along with their stay. This has become a very popular thing for tourists.

The Golden Lemon Inn and Villas in St. Kitts is one of the country's best resort spots. The rates are extremely pricey, but most feel that it is well worth some dollars spent. This resort is constructed out of a 1600s style French mansion and the rooms are large. The entire place is elegant and attracts the eye of potential customers. Here, you will find a large outdoor pool and tennis facilities. The people are very nice and they seem to enjoy you having an enjoyable experience.

In St. Kitts and Nevis, good times are had by all. The rich come here to get away, and you can join them. The prices are still pretty high, but if you enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean matched with the tranquility of your own personal island, then this is as good as it gets.
