The beaches are without a doubt the best thing going in St. Lucia. The majority of the beaches of St. Lucia are of the clear water, white sand variety. This combination is a sure-fire way to bring tourists back year after year. Pigeon Point Beach is one of the best beaches on the island. Located off of the north side of the island, it has become wildly popular because it attaches to Pigeon Point National Park. The park and beach have become great family destinations that travelers have come to love for their ability to host a great picnic. On this beach and others, water sports are a way of life. Kiosks offer jet ski rentals and boat capability.
Some of the natural attractions are very popular in St. Lucia as well. In addition to the aforementioned banana plantations, travelers will enjoy the capital city of Castries and what it has to offer. The city is built around its harbour, which has grown up over the years. In addition, one can find a great public market in the city in addition to various scenic lookout points. This city provides St. Lucia's most versatile look, giving travelers the capability of doing nature and having entertainment.
Ladera Resort is one of the island's finest places to stay. The island has become popular because it features so many of these marvelous travel destinations. Here, you will pay top dollar for your room but it will be worth it. With rates at almost $500 USD, the price of luxury is not cheap. This resort is located on the southwest end of St. Lucia and is known for its expanse of privacy that can be enjoyed.
If you come to St. Lucia, you will join an already large and growing population of folks that have come to know this as the best island in the Caribbean. It offers all of the best beaches, resorts, and natural attractions that will keep you coming back for more. Just be sure to open up the wallet as the price of luxury is certainly not cheap around here.
