The Virgin Islands have gained most of their acclaim as a tourist destination from their role as a honeymoon spot or even in hosting some fabulous destination weddings. In the Virgin Islands, they relish the role of helping people tie the knot and they try to make it as easy as possible. If you choose to get married on the island in a popular destination wedding, there are some resorts that can accommodate your entire party. Many of these resorts will even help you secure a marriage license to make you sure do it right. If you get married elsewhere, then these same resorts double as honeymoon destinations, offering the finest in romantic amenities for newlyweds as they celebrate their big day.

Elysian Beach Resort in St. Thomas is an excellent beach resort for those romantic getaways. It is popular because of all the amenities that it provides and it also sits very close to the beach for the convenience of the party. They also offer a very nice "honeymoon package", which includes a great room, some champagne, and a couple of other things as well. You can not go wrong if you choose this St. Thomas resort.

The Buccaneer in St. Croix is all about the amenities. While other resorts may boast their rooms or their prices, this one knows that people will come back if you keep them happy with fun things to do and nice things to see. It features, among other things, an 18-hole golf course, some tennis courts, a couple of pools and a very nice spa. In addition, this St. Croix resort is the host to the 1653 sugar mill, whose beauty and historical prowess has made it one of the most popular wedding spots in the entire Virgin Islands. Perfect for destination weddings, The Buccaneer is one you can not miss on, either.

Little Dix Bay Hotel in Virgin Gorda is a favorite among older travelers. While honeymooners frequent this spot, as well, it remains a haven for those looking to kick back with their long-time lover. This resort boasts privacy and sits on a bay of nearly 500 beautiful acres. Here, the rooms are nice and the coupling is amorous. The resort offers easy access to the beach as well as some other amenities. Beware though, if you are single, you will likely feel out of place when you stay in this resort.

The Virgin Islands offer some of the finest resorts for newlyweds and honeymooners, alike. If you want to have a great time with your new lover, take in the beauty of one of these islands and allow them to treat you to a great time. You will not regret it!
