Every town has their unique attractions. From Ridgefield, Washington's boast of being the birth place of the do-it-yourself moving company U Haul to the Arch of St. Louis. Tulsa, Oklahoma is certainly no exception. With roots in the oil company businesses that flourish in this region of the United States of America, Tulsa Oklahoma is the perfect mixture of classy entertainment and down-to-earth country landscapes. For anyone who is visiting this town in the Midwestern United States, here are some places to be sure to check out during your visit.

First of all, go ahead and explore the wonders of downtown Tulsa. Although it may be confusing with its many one way streets and frequent freeway entrances and exits, the beautiful architecture of the cathedral downtown is just a small glimpse of the interesting architecture lining the streets. Perhaps one of the most unique places in downtown Tulsa that always draws in a crowd of both locals and visitors is a spot known as "The Center of the Universe." Surrounding by mystery and legend, The Center of the Universe is an interesting phenomenon; when visitors stand in the middle of the spot and speak they hear themselves as if there were a very powerful echo, but everyone else hears them as if nothing is different.

Other places of key interest in Tulsa, Oklahoma would include the many museums throughout the town. From the historical and picturesque Philbrook museum with its splendid architecture and many works of art within to the Jewish museum at the Jewish cultural center on 71st street, Tulsa has its fair share of quality educational and artistic museums.

Finally, a visitor to Tulsa, Oklahoma cannot leave without enjoying some of the local residents' favorite diners and coffee shops. Tulsa is a very friendly town, and spending time in these establishments only endorses that reputation. Goldies is a hamburger restaurant famous for its delicious hamburgers and pickle bar while the Hideaway Pizza chain of restaurants is well known for their exceptionally flavorful pizzas and hot mushroom appetizers. Popular coffee houses include Shades of Brown (located on Peoria) which hosts a variety of artwork from various local artists and comfortable homey furniture for its customers to relax in; another well known coffee shop is The Coffee House on Cherry Street which offers its customers the unique option of roasting s'mores in their outdoor fireplace.

If you're looking for a classy place to visit, Utica Square offers the perfect destination. The more up-town feeling of the entire area leaves its visitors feeling like they are in a ritzy area far from the plains of Oklahoma; even the Starbucks has a very refined feeling about it. Utica Square is perfect for enjoying an evening out on the town, with restaurants such as the Wild Fork offering delicious dessert menus.

Overall, Tulsa is a filled with interesting places to visit and explore. The people tend to be welcoming and friendly, and in the case of the infamous Biker Fox, a tad bit of an attraction in and of themselves.
