In 1971 I lived in a cult-like commune in the San Francisco Bay area which was called: "The Institute of Human Abilities" or "Morehouse".
In other words: it is all you. There is truth in this. Have you ever noticed that: if something really good happens on the personal front, something equally bad happens financially, or vice verse - almost as if the universe needed to level out after a shift.
It was a crazy time, and the founder: one 'Victor Bronco' was way out there; but one of the things that he said stuck with me: he talked about a person's "having-ness level" : it went something like this:
You ability to have is directly tied to, and controlled completely by your own self esteem: your ability to have is governed by what you will allow yourself to have according to what you think that you honestly deserve.
In other words: it is all you. There is truth in this. Have you ever noticed that: if something really good happens on the personal front, something equally bad happens financially, or vice verse - almost as if the universe needed to level out after a shift.
Do we carry around this self limiting barometer and do these things to ourselves?
