Detroit Lions: 0-16 Part II? 0-19 Part II?

Green Bay Packers Week 6 Preview

Joshua Huffman
In 16 seasons, Brett Favre never lost a home game to the Detroit Lions. Last year, Aaron Rodgers picked up where Brett Favre left off. The Detroit Lions final game of their illustrious 0-16 2008 season was at Lambeau Field.

Did you keep the 0-16 signs, Packer fans? Remember your classless chants from that day? They can still be put to use!

The Green Bay Packers host the Detroit Lions in week 6 of the NFL. The Lions come into the game with an eighteen game losing streak in road games against Green Bay, with fifteen of them being at Lambeau. Ironically, this game could mark a 0-16 streak at Lambeau Field while also certifying another 0-19 streak in overall road games against the Green Bay Packers.

The Detroit Lions have been amongst the worst run sport organizations in the world. With Jim Schwartz, however, they may finally be on the right track. They ended their nineteen-game losing streak with a victory against the Washington Redskins, and have been competitive in following games against the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Obviously, there is much work needed to be done in Detroit. The Detroit Lions have not won a road game since October of 2007 when they defeated the Bears. Despite more competitiveness, the Lions are 1-4.

The Green Bay Packers will be coming off a bye week, playing their first game since the humiliation in Minnesota. Rested, they are hoping to get Chad Clifton and Atari Bigby back from injury. The Green Bay Packer also signed T Mark Tauscher who can hopefully replace Allen Barbre on the offensive line.

The Green Bay Packers have had two weeks to prepare for this game. They are much more talented than the Detroit Lions. They should be angry and excited to be playing after their embarrassment against Minnesota. Even with a blowout, Packer fans should not get too excited about the results against the Detroit Lions. The home game against the Lions is the one game each season that Packer fans can count on... Normally.

Green Bay Packers 41, Detroit Lions 27.

Don't forget Packer fans, November 1 is the rematch against Brett Favre... in Lambeau Field!

Minnesota embarrassment...indeed. Looking forward to reading more about the Packers and especially to the recap about the next match up with Minnesota.
