This couple is seeing the world before they settle down. Perhaps that will help them have longevity in the relationship. They are having adventures now which may help them have more maturity later.
They are both continuing to have success in their film careers. It is always interesting to watch couples who met through their work. Do two creatives make for a turbulent relationship or is it easier to get along because you understand the ins and outs of the industry your partner works in?
Frieda Pinto: Actress
Frieda played the role of "Latika" in the movie "Slumdog Millionaire." This was her chance to move into a new career as a film actress after working as a model.
Now Frieda has a new movie "Mira!" She looked very glamorous at the movie premier. Frieda is working hard to make her acting dreams come true.
Frieda earned a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Xavier College in Mumbai, India. She majored in English Literature. She then began a career as a model and then moved up to a career as an actress.
She describes the fight to begin an acting career to IMDB. "This industry is for fighters and those who do not give up! It is very important to believe in yourself. Even when a hundred people rejected me, I did not lose hope and finally director Danny Boyle believed in me!"
Dev Patel: Actor
Dev Patel grew up in London, England. In "Slumdog Millionaire" he plays the character Jamal Malik, an orphan. His acting career began when his mum saw an ad for auditions for a television show. Patel did not have training as an actor, but he landed the role, notes the Telegraph.
His role on that television show, "Skins," was admired by the daughter of director Danny Boyle. She recommended him to her father for the role in "Slumdog Millionaire." After his role in that movie, Patel has also been in the movie "The Last Airbender."
