Our physical reality long before tribal civilizations erupted was once about kill or be killed, survival of the fittest etc... in order to survive with no thoughts of good or evil, civilized behaviour or any other evolved human construct. What this means is that our social constructs of today evolved from this past and the experiences of those who survived and passed on their understanding whether they were right of wrong in their beliefs. It can be postulated that many of the early social constructs man created came from observing other animal species including behaviour. It should also be understood that EVERY SPECIES OF LIFE INCLUDING THE HUMAN SPECIES IS FOOD FOR ANOTHER. This may not be a pleasant realization however it is a fact of mortal existence.
Our conceptual reality defines the concepts (social constructs) man has implemented throughout the centuries to build, control and improve the quality of our existence through the process of creative theory by trial and error as is reflected by our historical cultural differences. It is only within the last two hundred years that our excesses for tangible and intangible creations have vastly out stripped our ability to keep up with our creative designs. Perhaps the old adage "to much of a good thing will become a destructive influence", has some relevance when we view the many destabilizing social constructs of today in terms of governmental controls, economic, religious and social stability to name a few. The one very important area of these conceptual constructs which has only seen rudimentary advancement compared to technology and science is in "HOW THE HUMAN MIND PROCESSES DATA AND DEVELOPS INGRAINED UNDERSTANDINGS", that reflect human behaviour. How and why we do the things we do which are detrimental to our survival.
What is the value of understanding ourselves or how we develop our ingrained understandings? The primary value of this concept helps us to discover the causes of discord and inner conflict within ourselves through self analyses. This process also helps us in developing an awareness of cause and effect prior to action in our behaviour patterns. The following example may offer some insight. The phrases "Thou shall not kill" or "Kill or be killed" and "kill to eat" are diametrically opposed concepts and yet both are taught values. One is based on a conceptual ideology and the other survival, Which one of these is correct within the concept moral code? EVERY SPECIES OF LIFE PLANT AND ANIMAL INCLUDING THE HUMAN SPECIES IS FOOD FOR ANOTHER. A moral code also has to be practical as opposed to a contradictory belief that creates inner conflict within ourselves. This is just one example of the thousands of contradictory ingrained understandings many of us have absorbed and developed in ourselves and our children. Is it any wonder that people become confused?
Here are two specific constructs required for the advancement of behavioural conditioning to reflect a positive social environment. A standardized ethically sound and practical moral code of behaviour within any given society enforceable by law. The other construct involves an aspect of psychology in creating a reliable formula for understanding how the mind actually processes data to develop ingrained understandings. You will notice the term mind used as opposed to the physical brain, which processes, correlates data, stores memories and is the controlling link to and from the physical body. Without the life force energy part of the mind the brain quickly deteriorates into inert tissue without artificial intervention. The phrase "they are brain dead", applies in this context. In our mind is where live and through our thoughts is how we create and develop our understandings.
Behavioural conditioning can be developed through two primary methods, physical and psychological using any number of formats such as televised and print media, consistent social attitudes relating to education, politics, recreation, laws, morality, ethnicity, sports, commercialism, dependency and the list goes on and on. The concept of behavioural conditioning is based on a precept of repetitive physical activity as one would find in sports, martial arts or military training. Psychological conditioning can also be designed to appeal to an individuals perspective as either a positive, negative, neutral, moral or amoral influence. Behavioural conditioning and modification are the tools society uses to promote and condone an economically based value system.
