Devising a Perfect Diet Plan for Lowering the Cholesterol

Cholesterol is a waxy protein that is very important for the human body to function. This cholesterol is obtained by two different methods. The synthesis of cholesterol by the human liver is the first method. The next method is the consumption of cholesterol containing food. The food which is ingested is taken to the liver and broken down into pieces. This is where the cholesterol in the food is isolated and distributed by the liver to the other parts of the body with the help of blood.

Cholesterol is a lipid which can neither be in high levels nor in low levels. A normal level has to be maintained in the body to avoid any kind of damage to the body. In case of higher levels of cholesterol one is prone to diseases like the Alzheimer, atherosclerosis, psoriasis and cardiac ischemia. In order to avoid these diseases one must have a controlled diet. The diet should be a normal one and should focus on all the important components like protein, carbohydrate, vitamins and minerals.

To have a perfect diet plan to reduce the cholesterol level, one can use several methods. The diet plan can focus on reducing the Low Density lipoprotein (LDL) content or it can focus on increasing the High Density lipoprotein (HDL). Either way, the cholesterol level can be controlled and maintained.

To reduce the cholesterol levels by controlling the diet:

1. Change your entire diet plan to a low cholesterol plan so that the existing cholesterol levels may come down to normal.

2. However the above step alone cannot have much impact. In addition to eating low cholesterol level food one must reduce the food containing fat too.

3. Meat, pork, beef, poultry and other high fat content products must be strictly avoided.

4. Green vegetables, fruits, nuts, raisins and grains should be part of your primary diet plan. This is because the fibre that these items contain, help in reducing the cholesterol and eliminating it.

The above steps should be followed for a considerable amount of time and should not be compensated. Temptation to have high cholesterol products should be resisted as it may spoil all your hard work to reduce it till then.

The above mentioned diet plan helps in a lot of way rather than one. The use of vegetables and fruits provides you with enough nourishment and strength and keeps you brisk and alert. Nuts and grains give you the protein and the carbohydrate that your body may require. Avoiding food containing fat will drastically reduce your sluggishness and help you remain charged up throughout the day.All these steps help to reduce the LDL content and increase the HDL content. This helps a person to maintain a fit and a healthy body free from diseases and any harm. Though the diet plan may seem tough in the beginning, as time passes by every person will get accustomed to the pattern.
