"To the heavens be peace, to the sky and the earth,
to the waters be peace, to plants and all trees,
to the Gods be peace, to Brahman be peace,
to all men be peace, again and again
--peace be also to me!" -Atharva Veda
Peace is the meaning of this life. It's something most people don't experience daily. Stress filled days loaded with anxiety, worry, and depression are common. Society, by media, tells girls that they're not pretty enough and males they aren't strong enough. Everyone feels inadequate. This is not truth.
We are born from God. The atman, or soul, is our true nature that's complete. This earthly body is only temporary and formed by karma, or causes and conditions. God doesn't care if I need to lose a few pounds, have a bad hair day, make little money, or other earthly matters. His only concern is our atman. When we live with bhakti, or devotion, and ethical means then we are one with God.
Unity, or moksha, is the ultimate goal in life. May we all seek moksha. May you have peace.

Post a CommentExcellent thought! So many people stress over wordly things when these things will not matter in the afterlife. We should instead be seeking peace with God. :-)
