Diabetic Magazines and Books: Diabetes Publications

No matter if you have just been diagnosed with diabetes or if you are a long-time sufferer, chances are you will want to read up on what is going on to help people in your shoes. There are many fine magazines, e-zines and brochures about diabetes. These great sources of information can help you learn more about diabetes as a condition, about diabetes symptom control, about famous diabetics, about diabetic diets and recipes and about diabetic exercise plans. But, which ones are the most informative and what exactly is out there?

Diabetic Gourmet magazine has not only a publication but a website, as many things do in the 21st century. This magazine assists diabetics in controlling their disease by managing their food. They provide recipes, tips, and even a tab for trusted brands. The subscription is free and it can be delivered to your inbox swiftly.

The Diabetic News also offers online subscriptions delivered to your e-mail. This newsletter informs you of every late breaking thing in the diabetic world such as recalls or new therapies. Once subscribed, a reader can look up archives to see what they've missed and even join an online diabetic community. This tab is great because it lets you connect with others for answers to questions and solutions to problems.

Diabetes Forecast is a magazine published for people who wish to know the breakthroughs in medicine and science, healthy living tips, as well as information in an easy to read manner. You can subscribe to this online and get 12 issues a year.

Diabetes Self Management can be bought at six issues a year. This is a magazine made for individuals who wish to know more about managing their diabetes.

DOC News is in a newspaper format and comes with a 12 month subscription. This publication is for patients who wish to have practical insight on the disease and all the pitfalls which may go along with it such as obesity and eyesight issues.

While there seems to be a plethora of cook books for diabetics on the newsstands, there are several magazines of another nature. It might be easier to find a larger selection of disease specific publications at a drug store rather than your grocer. As always, the internet makes it very easy to find and subscribe to your favorite informational catalog.
