Greg Heffley, and all his wimpy ways, is back! The fifth installment of the enormously popular book series, Diary of Wimpy Kid, hits shelves on November 9th, 2010. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth by author Jeff Kinney will be available at bookstores throughout the country, as well as through Scholastic book fairs sold through the school market, starting on November 9th, 2010.

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series follows the life and times of the hopelessly wimpy Greg Heffley as he battles through middle school. Heffley's hilarious antics and oh-so-familiar school routines are laid out in these diary-like books complete with simplistic drawings, notes, and additions, just like an actual diary.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth is destined to be a sure-fire hit among children as young as second grade and all the way through early high school. The series is especially popular with the upper elementary and middle school set. The popularity of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series stems from the very familiar situations Greg Heffley and his friends find themselves in. The addition of a Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie in the spring of 2010 only fueled the fire for the books to become even more in demand. Hilarious, even from an adult point of view, the Wimpy Kid will be winning hearts again with the 5th book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth.

So get ready for the November 9th, 2010 release of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth. Many bookstores are offering preorders of the 5th book and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth can even be preordered through your Scholastic book fair. This librarian, and all of her students, are anxiously awaiting Greg Heffley in all his wimpy glory.
