Did "America's Next Top Model" Drop the Ball on the All Star Finale? Recap

Renee Bagley
As their final challenge, Allison Harvard, Angelea Preston, and Lisa D'Amato had to swim underwater, walk the runway in extremely winding conditions (who almost falls down in the wind? Eat something, girl), do a commercial for Covergirl, and a final photo shoot.

The underwater modeling part proved to be a challenge, as did the runway. Lisa managed to get her mask tangled in her wig and swam into a wall, instead of coming out the other end. She was able to recompose herself and make it to the runway, but boy was that uncomfortable to watch. She wasn't the only one who struggled in the difficult challenges though.

Almost as uncomfortable as Angelea being disqualified with no explanation from the judges or "ANTM" queen, Tyra Banks. Fans all over Twitter spoke out in anger as Angelea got no final exit, one minute she was there- the next she was long gone. I think fans feel that each girl deserved her final goodbye as the fans get very connected to the contestants, and we all know Angelea's journey has been a long one. People like to see people such as herself get some respect. And that's the thing - there was no respect (it seems). The judges said she was disqualified by the shows' producers and they quickly moved on to decide the fate of the two remaining girls. Maybe whatever happened was so bad that they showed respect to her by NOT telling us? Maybe...

The internet is buzzing with speculation that Angelea was originally crowed the winner, but supposedly bragged about her win via Facebook. There is no confirmation that this is correct, and apparently we will never know what really happened and whether this was a cover up for something bigger. Some are saying that once she was out the entire episode has to be re-shot, but it showed Angelea crying (seemingly for no reason, but come on what happened there). Let's hope someone speaks out about what really happened.

Once Angelea was gone, Lisa was named the winner and the show turned into a hot mess of editing gone bad. Yes, I said it. It isn't so much about who won (or who did not), as it was about where is Angelea, is she okay, why wasn't she allowed her final exit? What happened?

Ex-judge, Janice Dickinson is slamming "ANTM" saying the show is rigged, that the judges get no say-so, and the final winner is decided by Covergirl. Read it yourself (and see the video) here: http://www.twirlit.com/2011/12/07/janice-dickinson-slams-tyra-banks-says-antm-is-rigged-watch/

Allison and Angelea found their names trending heavily on Twitter immediately after the show as fans shouted out their opinions and confusion over the disqualification. Sure, this took away from Lisa's victory, but what did the producers expect? Lisa is the total package, without a doubt.

Let's take a second to say congratulations to Lisa for the win! I guess it doesn't matter how you win, as long as you win. Right?
