Did the Devil Intervene During the Christian Movie Tribulation?

Hannah
It all started on the morning of Mother's Day 2009. I got up and made my coffee as I always do. I went back to my bedroom and put in the movie Tribulation starring Gary Busey, Margo Kidder, and Howie Mandell. I got about half way through the movie when I realized it was getting late and I needed to leave soon to spend the day with my son and grandson. I had to check something on my computer before I could leave. That's when this strange occurrence happened, I strongly believe was not a coincidence.

Before I tell you what happened, let me back up a little to the night before. I had an exceptionally difficult week, and that night was even worse. I started to get very upset, and told God that I believed he had forsaken me, and I couldn't understand why. Although I hate to admit it, I was angry with God. I went to bed as normal, except for just feeling so let down, and drained. Then I woke up the next morning, which takes us back to the time when I was on the computer.

Let me explain a little bit about my computer so you will understand at least part of the meaning of what I am talking about. I unfortunately have had dial-up Internet for the past nine years. Yes, I'm still sane enough to talk about it. So, anyway, when I finally connect to the Internet the Internet speed is almost always at 31.2 Kbps. Occasionally when the Internet is overloaded which seems like often lately, I may get connected at 14.2 Kbps, which is basically a loss cause. The reason I'm explaining this is so you can understand what happened next.

Okay, now back to that morning. Now remember, the movie Tribulation is playing on my TV just a few feet away, as I am trying to connect to the Internet. Well, I finally get connected to the Internet, and to my astonishment I am NOT connected at 31.2 kbps as I am usually. I look down at the connection speed, and my jaw just dropped wide open. I was connected at 50.666 Kbps. Well; if you're a Christian you are very well aware that 666 is the mark of the devil. This really woke me up! I had never in nine long years been connected at that speed.

I started to think about, and I have come to the conclusion when we choose to separate ourselves from God, all sorts of bad things can start to happen. That night before when I became disillusioned with God, and yes, went to sleep angry, as we are told in the Bible never to do, must have stirred the Devil to so call make his presence known to me through the computer.

If you are a Christian I know in my heart you can understand, as well as believe what may have happened to me. As a non-Christian, as always you will have a logical answer to explain away what happened. But, you know, if anyone tries to call it a coincidence, it would have to be an astronomical one in a trillion for something that NEVER happened for nine long years of using my computer day and night as I do, to have happened at the very moment I was playing that movie.

My true belief is, I became angry with God, and separated myself from his love and protection, and that's when the Devil reared his ugly head as if to say, WATCH OUT, if you choose to be without your God, don't be surprised if I come and get you!

Larry:Thanks for the info, but I personally do believe that 666 is the mark of the devil, or the anti-christ.

I do not know what is the significance of your experience regarding your computer on Mother's Day.

However, I would like to point out that the number 666 does not refer to the Devil or Satan. It is also called the 'mark of the beast' but the "beast" is not the Devil. Bible scholars believe it refers to a man, as in a human being or person, or to some sort of system created by a human being.

TO ALL: Sorry folks, for some reason (here we go again), a sentence was left out of the article, I don't know why. It explained that the movie Tribulation is about the Rapture, and the rise of the Anti-Christ (Devil). Another spooky thing Huh?

I don't believe anything happens by chance. Once Mike's business insurance policy came with the number 666 666 and he took it back to the agent and requested a different number. He wasn't brought up in a family that attended church, nor does he today, but he's even aware that some things are just evil.
