Did Drew Peterson Murder Stacy and Kathleen? I Don't Know, but He Bought Me a Toilet

My Bathroom Thanks You, Drew Peterson

Marie Anne St. Jean
Drew Peterson, ex-cop and dual murder suspect, has been news fodder for some time. After finding third wife, Kathleen Savio, dead in their bathtub, initial investigations cleared Peterson of any involvement in her murder - but then fourth wife Stacy later went missing. Her sister insists Drew Peterson is responsible for Stacy's death and law enforcement started looking a little closer and decided he looked good for Kathleen's murder too.

As of this writing, Stacy's body hasn't been found and Drew Peterson maintains his innocence of both murders. A recent break in the case reported that Peterson had allegedly told an inmate that he did kill Stacy and buried her body near Peoria, with the help of an accomplice. That story is unconfirmed but since Drew has been isolated from the general prison populace, it's unlikely that he had the opportunity to confide in another inmate. The information was deemed credible enough to send authorities to a wooded area on private property, but after hours of digging, they turned up nothing to indicate that Stacy's remains were buried at that location. The investigation continues.

So how did Drew Peterson buy me a toilet?

I'm smack in the middle of repairing major structural damage to my modest home and my bathroom and laundry have been gutted down to the crawlspace. I live on a very fixed income and have been scrimping and pinching with everything I've got to be able to pay for the contractors to put it back together, and still coming up short. Everything else in the bathroom had to go, but the commode wasn't in too bad of shape, so I was on the fence about whether to splurge and buy a new one or not.

Enter the latest news about Drew Peterson's alleged confession which led law enforcement to grab their shovels and head to Peoria. I latched onto that bit of news Saturday morning and penned a quick article that indexed quickly with some good google juice, landing a decent spot on page 1. That one article brought me close to 60,000 hits overnight - more than I usually see in two months - netting me exactly enough coinage to buy - wait for it, wait for it ... a new toilet!

Somehow I find it fitting that Drew Peterson be associated with my new toilet. For that, Drew Peterson, I thank you.

(This article, while factual, is a feeble attempt at humor and is in no way meant to make light of the serious subject of murder or the loss of a loved one. My condolences and prayers go out to the families of both victims, and I hope that justice will be swiftly served).
