Did Eliza Dushku, Rick Fox Get Engaged?

Eliza Dushku Tweeted a message to her fans this afternoon that set tongues a'waggin' about her future plans with former Los Angeles Laker boyfriend Rick Fox. The actress, who is perhaps best known for her turn as Faith in the cult hit series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," let her devoted Twitter fans in on a little secret when she posted the following nugget of celebrity gossip goodness: "Valentine's Day 2011: YOU GUYS! Want to see what's on my left ring-finger..? No joke!" Is a wedding in store?

Nope! A few minutes later, the actress posted a TweetPic of her left ring finger... in a brace. So no rock for the pair of yet, but you never know what'll happen down the line. 2011 is already chock full of planned celebrity weddings, so no one would bat an eye if another duo threw their collective name into the hat.

The couple, who began dating in October of 2009, moved in together last summer, according to an article in People Online. Dushku, 30, recently guest starred on an episode of the popular sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" and will appear in 2011's film release "Locked In."

Fox, 41, is a former professional basketball player who took turns with the LA Lakers and the Boston Celtics. Most recently, he appeared on the hit ABC reality show "Dancing with the Stars" alongside professional dancer Cheryl Burke. He was formerly married to singer and actress Vanessa Williams; the pair separated in 2004.

Although this go-round it was a Valentine's Day joke and Rick Fox and Eliza Dushku aren't planning to tie the knot, there's a veritable avalanche of other celebrities and semi-celebs who have either already married in 2011 or plan to take the plunge later this year. New Year's Day 2011 saw the nuptials of "One Day at a Time" star Valerie Bertinelli and beau Tom Vitale, as well as those of country songstress Kellie Pickler and Kyle Jacobs. The eyes of the world will be on Prince William and longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton as they wed on April 29th.
