Did Kate Hudson Get Breast Implants? Why Are Many Attractive Women Unhappy with Themselves?

Roy A. Barnes
US Magazine reported here that actress Kate Hudson got breast implants in March. The actress is the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn and winner of the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Almost Famous, according to her Wikipedia biography. Whether or not Kate Hudson got breast implants raises an important issue. Why are so many attractive women so unhappy with their bodies?

Did Kate Hudson Get Breast Implants? It's a Question that Raises a Bigger Issue

Whether the celebrity got breast implants or not, the bottom line is this in general: why can't women be content with what they were born with? Barring having to have a breast(s) removed/altered due to medical issues like cancer (which would make having this procedure more justifiable), it's pathetic that women have been conditioned by society and buy into this notion that altering their breasts somehow makes them more "desirable", "complete", etc. It's pathetic that many women who are attractive, but who have such low self esteem, will shell out money for these implants, thinking that real beauty is about "size." It's a shame that in this day and age, women who have good looks feel pressured to get bigger boobs. Just because one is pressured doesn't mean that one has to give in to that pressure. Has Kate Hudson felt that "pressure"?

According to WebMD, a number of complications can arise from getting breast implants. Not only can it be harder to get an accurate mammogram screening, but other issues can include pain and changes in sensation in the breast/nipple, scar tissue, bleeding, infection, and the possibility that the implants may not match each other. Breast implants can rupture and leak (when silicone ones rupture without causing noticeable symptoms, it's called a "silent rupture"). And those who get silicone gel-filled breast implants are expected to get an MRI scan three years after the procedure, and roughly every two years afterwards, to see if a "silent rupture" has occurred.

What is the price that women are willing to pay for their concept of beauty? To match society's concepts of beauty? If Kate Hudson got breast implants as has been reported, will she really love herself more? How many women really love themselves more when they've altered what really didn't need altering?

Well, when you are bombarded by seeing boobs all the time it's hard not to feel ashamed. And she probably hasn't felt good enough when she's in bed with a guy because they don't know how to please a woman with small boobs! I totally feel her..but I'm trying to massage my boobs so they grow..I would love to be a B cup. I miss my post-partom boobies!! =( minus the pain.

When first I married, My Ta'Tas were 32-A and they fit my boyish body just fine. After giving birth to my first child, they grew to an enormous 38-D while nursing my daughter and I could literally rest my chin on either one of those milk sacks. I can tell you first hand that there was nothing sexy about them! However after she was weaned, I was delighted to have my breasts firm up to a very pretty 34-B having kept a bit of my pregnancy weight. How sad that So many female's never give their bodies time to reach their ultimate glory! My greatest worry was ending up with breasts like my Mum, hers hang past her waist and the scars on her shoulders are deep and ugly! They of course are from the bra straps that year after year dug into her flesh. And her back aches are never ending poor dear this will never be my fate. My husband did not ask me to be his wife because of a body part he loved every part of me!

I don't know what the big deal is about implants. They're ugly, unnatural looking, and dangerous as you pointed out.

It's sad to think the price women are willing to pay and the risks they take. Cheers for the report, Roy

Perfection can never be achieved and certain women are always trying to reach it. Hence the plastic surgeons make all their moola on the idea of achieving the impossible. Anorexic models and Hollywood actors who only eat lettuce don't induce reality.
