Did You Know that Barack Obama is a (Used) Car Salesman?

Everyone has had an experience with a sleazy used car salesman right? How they try in vain to get you to purchase a car you do not want, probably can't afford and just is not the right fit for you and your family. Well, that is what President Obama is trying to do to the general public.

President Obama has a plan to "save" the auto industry. This is a funny concept. Why? Well you see, President Obama has ZERO experience at running any sort of business whatsoever. Yet, he believes that only his plans will save the auto industry in Detroit.

I know the man is arrogant but give me a break. I recall how arrogant George Bush was as President and the news media jumped all over him for having his "arrogant swagger." When will the media start calling out this President for having his?

Here we have a President who just a few months ago claimed that our government was not in the business of running the auto industry. Next came the bailouts given to the auto industry to help them survive a few more months. Remember that bankruptcy was not an option, though it would have been better in the long run.

Now the news is that General Motors will have to file bankruptcy and once gain the U.S. taxpayer is on the hook...twice. Imagine the money that could have been saved had the Obama Administration stayed out of auto industry business.

Here comes the sleazy car salesman pitch. President Obama comes over to you while you are looking at a vehicle for you family. You immediately see his toothy smile and your gut turns flips. You are anticipating the sales pitch and he extends his hand. The entire time you are telling yourself "do not fall for the pitch...do not fall for the pitch."

Here you are, looking at a SUV, truck or minivan to escort your family here and there on your daily route. You know exactly what type of vehicle you want but that sleazy car salesman, President Obama, has new plans for you family and the types of vehicles you will drive. Gone are the days of driving what you need.

He wraps his arm around your shoulder and immediately shows you the Toyota Prius. You inform him that this is not the car for you family. After all, you have a family of 5 and the Prius is just not big enough for you family needs. The sleazy car salesman turns towards the Toyota Yaris, another small vehicle that is not what you are looking for. "How about the Smart Car?" he asks. In your head you are thinking there is no way you will be driving around in a suped-up golf cart.

Well, if those cars are not for you and your family, get use to them because under Obama's new emission's plan. Those three vehicles are the only ones that pass President Obama's emission standards. Gone are the days of driving what you like or need. Hello to the days of zipping around in vehicles no bigger that a golf cart.

How can a man who has never been an entrepreneur and has ZERO experience in the auto industry obtain the arrogance to enforce these standards upon the American taxpayer? The answer is that he is going unchecked. The news media is in love with their messiah and simply will not do any investigative reporting on this guy.

In order to make such cars to meet the new emission standards some changes to the vehicles will have to be made. The vehicles will have to be made smaller and with less steel. That means the vehicles will be lighter and made from some form of plastic or polymer.

What you end up with are vehicles that are more expensive and less safe. However, the good news is that you will save over $2,800 over the lifetime of you vehicle as claimed by the sleazy car salesman in chief. Doesn't that make you feel a little better? Save a little money and jeopardize your family's safety. Makes me want to go out and buy one right now. NOT!

All this is being done to appease the "global warming fanatics" like those who follow Al Gore or Leonardo DiCaprio. You know, the two stalwarts who never travel around the globe, preaching that humans and carbon dioxide are going to cause the world to reach 115 degrees by 2015.

Here is what will happen. The so-called carbon footprint will only grow. Using common sense, I foresee higher miles per gallon. This will allow the average American to drive more because it is cheaper. More drivers plus more gas only equals more traffic jams. More traffic equals a bigger "carbon footprint.

There are several drawbacks beside having to listen to Al Gore sigh some more. Either this plan works and the U.S. auto industry will compete with Japan or it will continue to be dominated by the superior product coming from overseas.

It is not a long shot to bet that the U.S auto industry will continue to need bailouts for years to come. That is something that we just cannot afford to keep doing. Bailing out corporations will be the downfall of our economy. We cannot continue to spend money that is not there.

Just like the sleazy car salesman, we will be put into a vehicle that just isn't right for us. Then we will have the payment that doesn't fit into our budget. I hope President Obama is ready to bail the average American out. Now wave and smile to the toothy salesman. He has screwed you once again!
