Did Obama Lie About Drugs to Get Black Voters?
Obama was Looking for Ghetto Cred when He Lied
Seems like another Frey on our hands. Why do people feel compelled to make themselves look like they were badasses? Is it because in some idiotic way they think the badass is cool? Here is a clue, the badasses end up being found dead naked in a hotel room. That is not cool. The badass usually has strained family relationships, if they have one at all. Don't even get me started about the "friends" they keep.
Did Obama play with the truth for the sake of the poor and/or jealous blacks that hate educated black people? They call them Uncle Tom's, sell-outs, and anything else they can think of.
Here's a clue Obama. Black people do not need a place to look down, but a place to look up. We are tired of people lowering the bar and expecting nothing of us. You were educated in a white college. You go boy, don't hang your head. You got through law school, and helped some people. That is what being black should be about, not whether or not he was a former addict, pimp, or whatever.
The reality is you are the person that black youth should be looking up to. You have the million dollar house and you didn't sell dope or women to get it. So please, do not try to come off as a badass, because we blacks have enough of them. Some of us are tired of looking in the ghetto and the gutter for inspiration because those who do make it leave and don't remember how to show others the way.
Obama, you don't have my vote, but you do have my respect. Drop the dope from the speeches because it really is not who you are or were, according to your college friends. Isn't the better story that you explored and left it alone?
The problem I have with the story is that one might suspect that Obama wrote and said what he did to have an appeal for the black voter. Clue, drugged out people don't really go to the polls.

Post a CommentI think he just came clean, and that is refreshing. MSNBC has its nerve asking if he overstated his drug use for street cred. George W, Bush did cocaine and never fessed up. Bill Clinton at least smoked pot and never fessed up. Obama, like many of us in colleges all across the country, dabbled a little and regrets it now and sees it for the bad idea it was. He never said he was a coke addict. You just can't win in politics, I guess. I give him credit for basic honesty and think MSNBC and other critics should be ashamed for finding fault with his lack of self-delusion. Shoot down his views all you want, but don't beat the man up for looking back at youthful indulgence in an honest way and admitting a mistake is a mistake.
I don't think it matters if he used a little or a lot. I think the point is, while he did use in the past, he stepped a way from the path drugs lead one down. I think it's good of Obama to be open about his youth and any drug use. Afterall, it stops scandal from blowing things out of proportion.
I think he was just being honest. If that is the worse he has done, it can be forgotten.
....ask Hillary if she ever smoked pot. Bill did and they "shacked up" as was the language of the time. Of course she lies about everything so either answer could be truth or a lie. People who are paranoid and suspicious of others are usually the ones that are the biggest hypocrites. ascribing their motives to other people. It is called Kangaroo Courts.
This is a joke right? If you have not noticed MSNBC are racists and would say anything to make Obama look bad. He never said he was an alcoholic. He wrote an honest book about his life and now that he is running for President people are ascribing all kinds of motives to why he wrote it, even though when he wrote it he had no aspirations of running for president. The only words to describe Obama are honest and real. You would have to be black with an Indonesian step-father and a white mother, then live with your white grandparents in Hawaii being told by black friends about white people's two faced racism to understand the confusion that comes from identity. Most college kids do experiment with alcohol and drugs. He never said he had a big drug problem, what he did say was he woke up about his partying due to a female who put him in his place after he and his friends trashed a hotel room. His experience gives him wisdom to understand today's troubled youth. Someone should ask Hillary if

My opinion is that Obama told the truth about his drug past before someone else could drag him through the mud about it. If you are running for president, you have to be upfront about it.
