Did One Life to Live Do Right by Soap Opera Lovers?

One Life to Live is one of the oldest soaps still on television now. Celebrating a birthday, I expected greatness. However, the directions they're taking are a little mind-boggling. The recent departure of Nash Brennan is very upsetting. Jessica Buchanan and Nash Brennan was a true super couple. They're love story could've been one for the story books. Despite the characters much loved Nash was killed off. Despite a much loved character being shunned into Soap Opera graveyard maybe "forever", he was killed by Jarrod. Jarrod just happen to be Natalie's "greatest love" for now anyway. Jarrod has lied, committed fraud, and was posing as Natalie's uncle. However, she fell into his arms and is so blinded by love for this swindler of fortune. She has chosen him over her own family and the killer of her much loved brother in-law. In response to the death of her husband Jessica is now Tess. Jessica was handling the situation brilliantly before Tess showed up. The scene at Nash funeral when Jessica ripped into them was brilliant. The best thing that came out of the tragic loss of this loved character was the funeral scenes. Now Tess is here. For the first time since Jessica showed there was a Tess, you wonder where Jessica is. Tess has made a mess of things. Tess has tried to Natalie and Jarrod for Nash's untimely demise. However, has failed miserably. She has tried to poison, and cut the brakes on Natalie's car. However, to Tess surprise Natalie let Vickie use the faulty vehicle. Of course, Vicki got in a car accident with Dorian as a passenger. Vickie died? Of course she went to Heaven and was made to realize it wasn't her time. She was then saved by Dorian. However, Dorian didn't' do it as a good gesture. She did it after David bargained his divorce for Vickie's life. Vicki was saved.

Cole and Starr fight over their unborn child is very compelling. The story pulls at you heartstrings. Two young kids trying to do what each think are right. Todd is thrust into the middle because Cole is trying hard to fight for his rights, and turns to Todd with the truth of Starr's pregnancy. In his usual style Todd has and will pull out all measures to prevent Starr from giving her baby up for adoption. He definitely will fight until the end to keep Marcy from having his grandchild. Good luck. Todd is as devious as always. He knows Marty isn't dead, but has yet to tell anyone. Cole and John have been very close to finding out the truth. They both went to the house, Todd has her stashed at. Despite the fact Todd has found Marty alive he is hiding her and telling her lies about her life. Some of the biggest lies are that John doesn't care about her and left her for dead. She has no kids, and he left out he raped her. He is as devious as ever.
