Did Pregnant Pink Reveal an Eating Disorder?

Summer Banks
The world is a gasp over the fact that celebrity pop singer Pink (P!nk) and husband Carey Hart are expecting their first child. Despite the fact that the singer is still early in the pregnancy, the couple swears they are having a girl. No girl names have been revealed, though Pink did announce they liked the name Jameson for a boy. Pink also mentioned that Carey Hart believed his name to be a girl's name so why would the couple not name the baby Jameson no matter the sex? But, that is another Pink story. The interesting part about one interview Pink gave to People Magazine was a statement about morning sickness.

The article concentrated on how Pink wanted to take her baby on the road as soon as it could say her name (Mama). Further on in the interview she commented about morning sickness, which she has had no trouble with during the pregnancy. "I feel like if I had morning sickness I would have lost some weight, but I've kept everything down." Miranda Kerr, Christina Applegate and Myleene Klass all revealed they suffered from terrible morning sickness during their pregnancies. Myleene Klass, a model for Marks and Spencer was recently quoted as saying, " Head in sink most of morning! Lovely. Now hotfooting it to This [M]orning with Ava and a dancing kangaroo (don't ask)!!" Morning sickness is not an illness to joke about, so what is Pink really saying - weight loss is more important than a healthy pregnancy?

Pink has been in the news for her dietary choices and extreme exercise routines in the past. She is a vegetarian who eats fish and chicken and brags about her "man abs" while doing P90X and yoga six times a week. Now, out of nowhere, Pink is not working out and Carey Hart is taking care of her every need. Hopefully after baby is born she does not appear on the front page of some magazine as an "unrealistic" weight loss story.

Wow, talk about sensationalizing some random comment! She put on 55lbs (25 kgs) and has taken her time losing all that weight. Also, she doesn't "brag" about her abs. She works bloody hard for that body and she deserves to look that good!!! She is obviously not obsessed about her body, as you allude to. She should be applauded!
