Did Roy Williams Guarantee Victory for Saints Game?

Chris Houston
Did Roy Williams just guarantee victory against the Saints on Saturday? Williams talked about playing the undefeated Saints on Saturday and he practically did guarantee a victory if the Cowboys show up.
"If we pack our bags and show up in New Orleans on Saturday night," Williams said, "we should be victorious."
You can check out the entire interview and even hear the audio of the Roy Williams guarantee on ESPN here.

Was that a guarantee from Roy Williams or a player with complete confidence for his team? If the Cowboys play well then Roy Williams guarantees they'll win? What if the Saints play up to their potential as well?
Most players on good NFL teams with talent believe they can win on any given Sunday if they play up to their potential. Then again, most players don't talk about it with reporters. It's not the first time Roy Williams has issued that type of guarantee. Williams also made some similar statements while playing wide receiver with the Lions.

Is there anything wrong with what Roy Williams said and his near guarantee? Did Roy Williams provide chalk board material for the Saints maybe who are coasting into the playoffs? As if New Orleans needed any more incentive when an undefeated season is on the line, now there is this Roy Williams guarantee out there. Will it become hyped up in the media this week? The game between the Cowboys and Saints looks to be a great one anyway. Unfortunately, it's on the NFL Network and who knows how many people will get the opportunity to watch it. That's another problem in itself. Will Roy Williams be criticized for making strong comments? Probably not. It sounded more like an air of confidence than cockiness. One thing is for sure, Saints players will probably be asked about the Roy Williams guarantee this week and we'll hear some interesting comments I'm sure.
Roy Williams believes in his teammates and he's not afraid to issue a guarantee. Nothing wrong with that. Now just back it up!
