Did You Say I Love You?

This morning when your true love left Did you say I love you?
This afternoon when your mom called did you say I love you?
Tonight when you tucked your kids in Did you say I love you?
When the strong handed and strong minded God fearing Grandpa slowly began to weaken and his skin began to show the signs of his toil, his mind began to go back to his youth and his body back to infancy. Did you still hug him? Did you make him feel honorable? Did you sit on his lap?
When his breaths got slower and his voice was no longer making words and his eyes had no more strength...Did you kiss him gently? Did you tell him Thank you?
When you felt he was only holding on till your eyes were no longer on him did you lean in and say I'll miss you? Did you tell him its okay to go home? Did you kiss his cheek and say for all you are and all you've done..."I love you"?
When your child took his first breathe did you weep with joy?
Did you cradle him?
Did you comfort her?
When you child discovered independence did you relish his innocence?
When your little girl discovered her beauty did you stand in awe of her?
When your child took first steps of freedom, Did you boast with pride?
When your child cried of the pain of first loves, Did you silently with strength encourage her?
Tonight when you walked by her door...Did you brush her hair back gently?
Did you feel his silky cheek?
Did you whisper in your Childs ear....You my child are AMAZING
You my son are EVERYTHING
You my daughter are BEAUTIFUL
When you laid down next to her this morning and take her in your arms...
Did you watch her chest rise and fall?
Do you know that God controls it all?
Do you know she filled her call?
What joy she brought in her short stay
What mountains she climbed along the way
How much will I miss her? I can't say
But God has blessed me with this day to show her in everyway who she is and why she's here and why I hold her so very dear....
For God has called her home today, yet given me this gift...
To take one last moment to cradle her
to hold her hand
to brush back her hair....to be there
Gifts like these are very few to get the chance to say..."your battle here is threw, and God is making you new, and my child I have been so blessed to know you"

I LOVE YOU"
We are not promised another second on this Earth. We are blessed with every moment we have to speak kindly to step lightly, yet go boldly. We are blessed with new breath every morning the sunrises to speak lovingly...and we are blessed each evening with a sunset to take that breath away.
We all have but a moment....a moment in time...a moment to call someone friend...to call someone sister...to call someone husband and father...to call someone child...to call someone hero.
We have but a moment to say..."You make my world a better place...I love to see your smiling face...for you I will slow my pace in this crazy race...and Know that God has given me...YOU...and I LOVE YOU...truly I do"
