Spell out your terms. Complete removal and clean up. Get a signed estimate. Confirm the day and time of the tree removal. State any requests and get them put to ink. Ask what the payment terms are. Is Cash, personal checks, or charge cards accepted. If you have a lot of tree debris on your roof, ask if they can clean it off for you. If you wish to keep some of the tree limbs for fire burning-make it known. Ask if the tree service can cut them into right size pieces for you.

Damage Report
Call your homeowners Insurance Company when the tree falls. Take pictures of the fallen tree from every angle. Take pictures of all damage. Start a list of damage you can see yourself. Check windows with a careful eye. Cracks are hard to spot. Look for gutter and trim damage. Check out all surrounding area of the fallen tree's path. The Insurance adjuster will also inspect the damage. After your deductible the damage will be paid for. You will have to arrange for the work to be done.
