It's often said a Hero gives his life without regret;
We glorify a selflessness with honor in a Vet.
But, really is it truthful to record the past that way?
Do you not believe a soldier knows the price that he must pay?
He knows his wife and children lose a husband and a Dad;
His parents lose their precious child, the only son that they had.
Be sure you tell your children when a Hero gives his life;
He knows exactly what he leaves behind, but freedom has a price.
