Diet Friendly Ice Cream

Those words usually don't belong in the same headline, but you will be surprised to learn that you can indeed treat yourself to an icy treat without effing up your low calorie restrictions. Here are a few of my favorite low calorie ice creams and pops that are less than 100 calories (except for one).

Dreyer's Fruit Bars are all-fruit popsicles with no sugar added and will only cost you 30 calories per pop! You would think, naturally these have to be disgusting. They're probably tasteless, but that's not the case at all! They're super scrumptious, tasting of the natural fruit, just like homemade popsicles minus the mess.

I've mentioned this one before but will mention it again: Skinny Cow Dulce de Leche Ice Cream is God's gift to faux ice cream. It's only 150 calories in a double scoop size cup. It tastes of spicy vanilla and caramel and not at all like low fat. Can you believe that it even contains 4 grams of fiber? Mmm, it's so good. It comes in three other flavors: strawberry cheesecake, chocolate fudge brownie, cookies n cream and caramel cone. It does contain 22 grams of sugar. But it's a great alternative to the full on non -diet friendly ice cream.

Popsicle Healthy Bunch Variety Pack has an array of popsicles that are all less than 70 calories each. They're all sugar free and super yummy. The original multi-flavored Popsicles come in orange, cherry and grape and are all less than 20 calories each.

Fudgsicle, also included in the variety pack weighs in at 70 calories and Creamsicle is only 40 calories per pop. These two hit the sweet spot, they're decadent and soothe that chocolate or creamy craving you might occasionally get.

See, you don't have to torture your sweet tooth if you're dieting. Try some of these icy goodies to fend off cravings without killing your diet plan.
